Oh the irony. Ohio Revised Code 9.67 was created by legislators due to the Browns relocation to Baltimore. More than 20 years later, a group of investors led by the Browns ownership stated that they are in the final negotiation to purchase the Columbus Crew. This news, which previously was a dream, became a reality on Friday. We gathered on Friday at business ally Endeavor Brewing to celebrate as the saga has nearly ended, almost a year to the day from that nightmare that occurred on October 16th, 2017. Everyone involved in the Save The Crew movement, from Columbus, to across Ohio, to across the globe played a part in this success story. Earnie Stewart at Mapfre:

Earnie Stewart is the current general manager of the USMNT. He is in charge of finding a new head coach for the National team. As you have all heard, our own Gregg Berhalter leads the list of candidates for the job. Berhalter has been the head coach of Crew since the 2014 season. During his tenure, the team has appeared in one MLS Cup, two Eastern Conference Finals (winning one) and made three playoff appearances in four seasons. Recapping the Motion

On Tuesday, Judge Jeffrey Brown heard oral arguments regarding Major League Soccer’s Motion to Dismiss the case State of Ohio ex rel. Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine, et al. v. Precourt Sports Ventures, LLC, et al. In that case, the Ohio Attorney General and City of Columbus are attempting to ensure Major League Soccer and Precourt Sports Ventures comply with Ohio Revised Code 9.67, also known as the Art Modell Law.

State of #SaveTheCrew meeting scheduled for Saturday

As the calendar turns to 2018, we move into a pivotal year for the #SaveTheCrew movement. We are constantly fielding questions from fans and supporters on how they can help advance the cause. On Saturday Jan. 13th, #SaveTheCrew leadership will host a State of Save The Crew meeting at Business Ally, Land-Grant Brewing Company.
