In the spirit of the Thanksgiving holiday later this month, we are turning November into a month of Save The Crew thanks. Morgan Hughes gets us started in his latest Vlog by expressing his appreciation and thanks to all of the people that worked behind the scenes from the very beginning of the movement. Hello fellow Crew fans!
I hope everyone has had an opportunity to recover from the game this past Sunday and bask in the glory that your Columbus Crew SC men will once again be back in the MLS Cup Playoffs this Thursday. Despite the massive distractions that Gregg and the boys have had to deal with the entire year, they still found a way to get it done. Truly incredible right? Could’ve packed it in and nobody would’ve thought much of it other than 3 people on social media that want major changes at every bump along the way. Anyways, hats off to the entire staff and players who fought, scraped, and battled to get to this point. Continue reading Where to Watch the Knockout Round
Editor’s Note: We received the following post via social media and received permission to share it here on the blog. To all the Sam’s out there, young and old, thank you for all that you did. Together we did something very special. Together, we saved the Crew.

“So very grateful for the opportunity to be with the team on my birthday. We have students who have played soccer forever, and some just starting out but the team is a family, and our family really enjoyed watching the Columbus Crew win.”

“I just came up with a crazy idea…to go see the Crew in Montreal. Game’s at 3 on 10/6. That would be a blast. Can you free yourself up?”
This was the text my brother sent. My brain immediately started thinking through that weekend knowing that it would be a hefty road trip and I had some other things on the calendar. After serious thought I responded:
You know what’s so great about volunteering with Save The Crew? You get to hang out with friends, or strangers who become friends, while talking about your favorite thing, and introducing your favorite thing to new strangers, who might become friends someday. This past weekend, several of us brought the Save The Crew tent to the Columbus Italian Festival and did just that. A huge thank you goes to Joey DiNapoli who made all the arrangements for Save The Crew to participate. I hope you got to enjoy some cannoli, brother. While recalling this story to share with you, it occurs to me that as we live each day we’re curating our life stories. Who knew, while we were living it, that one day it would be story worthy? To us, it was another day at Café del Mondo…
We were blessed, through my son Alex’s networking and determination, to be feeding the Crew – in many ways. Continue reading Feeding the Crew – Bruna
On a Nashville September Tuesday night, three of our very own took the field for the USMNT. Columbus is the home of Dos a Cero so it was only fitting that the Crew’s Zack Steffen, Gyasi Zardes, and Captain Wil Trapp took a bit of that history to Nashville to represent the USA in their clash against Mexico. It was a clean sheet for Zack, a scary tackle for Wil, and a 1-0 victory for the Red, White & Blue.
