Soccer for All of the Community

Soccer has always been a game for the people. Anyone is able to take a ball, bought or handmade, and get friends together to play. This accessibility and ease of entry has made it the world’s game. It forges strong connections between people, bringing together individuals and communities, and most importantly, it’s fun and entertaining. You can go anywhere in the world and talk about a soccer match with a local or find a pickup game to play in.

Since the beginning of our movement, Save The Crew has held firm to the belief that soccer belongs to everyone in a community. No matter where you were born or how you grew up, everyone deserves the chance to experience the beautiful game. To spread the game to everyone in our community, we have worked hard to provide great opportunities for all.

On January 15, 2018, Save The Crew’s licensed coaches partnered with Columbus Eagles FC to host a free youth soccer clinic at Resolute Athletic Complex, a Save The Crew business ally. Kids learned new skills, techniques, and tactics, and of course got to play and have fun. At the end of the day, we were able to have an open play session for adults, where players of all ages and skill levels competed. The overwhelming response from participants and our followers was great excitement that we could provide this program to the community free of charge.

Based on the success of that event, we’ve continued to provide opportunities for the community to experience soccer and build their love of the game. We are happy to announce that we’re partnering with Save The Crew business ally Locker Soccer Academy to offer a free youth soccer training session. Locker Soccer Academy is a one-of-a-kind soccer program that offers a dynamic environment where children can develop soccer skills, social skills, coordination, confidence and self-esteem built on a solid foundation of fun.

The training sessions will be offered on July 9th at Locker Soccer Academy’s Gahanna location. There will be one session for kids aged two to four starting at 5:30pm and one for kids ages five to eight that starts at 6:30pm. Kids will learn from Locker’s team of experienced trainers and most importantly, have fun. You MUST register your child at this link for them to be able to participate. If you have further questions, please contact Save The Crew at Business@SaveTheCrew.com.

We look forward to continuing to develop and offer opportunities for everyone in the community to experience the beautiful game.
