Monday Recap 7/30/18

Save The Crew Updates

2019 Ticket Pledge:

We did it! 10k people have signed the pledge. In 1994 10,000 season tickets was the number that guaranteed the Columbus Crew would always be known as MLS Charter Member 01. If you have not yet filled out the pledge, please click on the link and do so!  And if you have, make sure to tell everyone you know.

August 4th is just around the corner! Join us the night before at the Pelotonia Opening Ceremony on August 3 from 3 to 9 pm. Then, come out the next day, as we will have several #STC members participating in the ride to raise funds for cancer research. Come show your support for the Columbus Crew while supporting a great cause. To read more about it, check out Save The Crew at Pelotonia, by Andrew Shepler.

Save the Date:

On Monday, August 6th, from 6 to 8pm we’ll be at our friends and business ally Seventh Son Brewing‘s new rooftop space in Italian Village (1101 N. 4th St.) to celebrate our progress so far on the Project 2019 program and to provide some exciting updates. More details to come, but mark your calendars today.

Columbus Updates

Road Trip Traditions:

Last week, Matthew Coy shared his road trip tradition with the Columbus Dispatch. But he also wrote a blog post for us!  Since 2012 Matthew and his son, Ryan, have been traveling the country to share not just a Crew game, but also to share conversations and experiences.  As Matthew so eloquently states, “Our club has more games to win. The road and the games await us.”

Alex Stec:

Our beloved brand journalist who conducts all the player interviews AND oversees all social media accounts has decided to take her talents south, to FC Cincinnati. We appreciate everything she has done, and continues to do during this time of ambiguity. Good luck, Alex! We look forward to seeing you when you come to visit Columbus to watch our Crew beat FC Cincinnati!

Game Recap

3-2 WIN!

The boys are on a roll! Patrick Mullins scored his first goal for the club (on his first start). 3, first half goals in the first 31 minutes were enough to see us through. Quality wins like this against Eastern Conference playoff teams are critical this time of year. Let’s win again. Our next game is at Mapfre on August 11th!

Glory To Columbus
