Tacos. Live Music.
Tacos. Columbus Crew SC Soccer.
Really, what could be better?
On Saturday, May 19, you can experience all of these and more at the first annual Columbus Taco Festival to be held from 12pm to 10pm at Genoa Park (downtown behind COSI). #SaveTheCrew has partnered with the Taco Festival and will have a booth at the event. Come out and visit your fellow #SaveTheCrew family members where we will be sharing schedules, yard signs, stickers, games, prizes, and more.
But wait — The Crew play the New England Revolution that night in Foxborough at 8pm. Why would I come out and eat tacos and miss out on a opportunity to up the lads from the comfort of my own couch or barstool?
Fear not, pals of Pipa. We will have a TV set up in the booth for volunteers and community members alike to join together and cheer our boys on the road.
If you’re interested in doing more than just eating tacos and watching soccer, #SaveTheCrew is looking for volunteers to help staff the tent for 2-hour shifts. Volunteers are mostly needed from 4-6pm and 8-10pm, but support at any time will be welcome. To sign up for a shift, please reach out to Jo at Jodrodgers@yahoo.com or @jodrodgers on twitter or Brent @bam22542
So, come on down and enjoy the match at the festival while sharing your love of tacos and the black and gold with other taco lovers in Columbus.
Oh yeah, did we mention there would be tacos?
