It’s a supposed to be a big day for Major League Soccer, and Crew legend Alejandro Moreno may have just stolen the headlines with a brilliant halftime statements supporting #SaveTheCrew.
Credit to celebrity fan Michael Luksic for the footage:
This shouldn’t come as a shock to those in Central Ohio, Moreno hasn’t been shy about expressing his support for the Black & Gold.

Crew fans took to Twitter to express their appreciation for the former striker.
@AleMorenoESPN @thesoccerdon @APrecourt @TaylorTwellman @Save_The_Crew Ale is RIGHT!HONOR your History @MLS You cite metrics but show NO proof. AP, owners and DG disengaged from #Crew96 and CBus NOT the other way around. Do the right thing and #SaveTheCrew

Love the scarf @AleMorenoESPN, and thanks for your comments at halftime to #SaveTheCrew! It means so much hearing people in your position not afraid to speak out against what @MLS is trying to do. Respect your roots @APrecourt and do the right thing. #MLSCup #STCsweepstakes

Thank you Ale! Glad to see those in a position to reiterate that there are two sides to the story, and that the company line is a blatantly false narrative. This was powerful in view of the timing (following the false tale told by DG).
