Real Salt Lake supporters lend a hand to #SaveTheCrew

On Christmas Day, Real Salt Lake blog RSL Soapbox gave Columbus Crew SC fans a heartfelt gift. Writer Wirtjo Von Leonard penned a love letter to Crew SC fans expressing support for the #SaveTheCrew movement. In his letter, Von Leonard talks about his connection to Central Ohio, and the importance of what a club means to a city.

“The beautiful game is not as much about trophies, glory, and goals as it is about the fans,” said Von Leonard. “Clubs could never, ever, ever exist without those who love and care about it. It is about community. Our community.” Community is a common theme that has surfaced throughout this campaign. People from far and wide have lent their sword to #SaveTheCrew and the response has been overwhelming from around the soccer world.

Several fans signed the letter of support for Columbus. If you would like to read the complete article from RSL Soapbox, you can click here.
